Why publish in Acta Metallurgica Slovaca?
Article processing charges
Acta Metallurgica Slovaca (p-ISSN 1335-1532, e-ISSN 1338-1156, EV 8/22/EPP) is a Transformative Journal (TJ). Once the article is accepted for publication, authors will have the option to choose how their article is published:
- Traditional publishing model – published articles are made available to institutions and individuals who subscribe to Acta Metallurgica Slovaca or who pay to read specific articles.
- Open Access – when an article is accepted for publication, the author/s or funder/s pay an Article Processing Charge (APC). The final version of the published article is then free to read for everyone.
Acta Metallurgica Slovaca is actively committed to becoming a fully Open Access journal. We will increase the number of articles we publish OA, with the eventual goal of becoming a fully Open Access journal. A journal that commits to this process is known as a Transformative Journal.
Authors who publish open access in Acta Metallurgica Slovaca are required to pay an article processing charge (APC). The APC price will be determined from the date on which the article is accepted for publication.
The current APC, subject to VAT or local taxes where applicable, is:
€1200.00
Authors can also choose to publish under the traditional publishing model (no APC charges apply); both options will be offered after the paper has been accepted.
